Jennifer McCartney is a novelist and short story writer from Ancaster, Ontario.

Her first novel, Afloat, was published when she was twenty-four and went on to become a Penguin Book Club pick and a bestseller in Canada.

Jennifer’s fiction has been broadcast on BBC Radio and appeared in various literary magazines in the US and the UK. She has lived in Ohio, Michigan, Utah, South Carolina, New Jersey, New York, London, and Glasgow, where she received her Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Glasgow.

She is currently working as an editor and lives in Brooklyn. She is a regular contributor to the Brooklyn Eagle.
